PSALMS SONGS ALPINE DAIRY GOATS

Psalms Songs was born in the bootheel of Missouri. Our first dairy goats were delivered from Webster Groves by someone who became our dear friend Ms. Merryl Winstein. A guernsey cow and a border collie were added and we were off! In 2000 we moved home to Michigan to care for my grandmother, Elsie Mayo. God has blessed us with a beautiful loving family that continues to grow and the barn of my dreams that I get to fill with my dairy goats.
Our children have been raised in 4H. The twins competed in the State Quiz bowl tournament and were State champions multiple times. They have applied all of that great anatomy and physiology knowledge and are now Nurses (just like their Mom and sister). We have supported our local county fair with animal, produce, and art entries for many years. We have even hosted our very own ADGA sanctioned dairy goat show,
L.E.G.S. The Lakeshore Extravaganza Goat Show. It lasted 5 years here on the shores of lake Michigan. Due to finances and outside obligations, we have had to discontinue the show (for now??) These days, we are so excited to see our grandchildren on the farm laughing, playing, and counting the days until we can get them out in the show ring! They are already good chore helpers.
We are dedicated to quality herd management. We have had our herd evaluated by Harvey Considine, and his Herd Evaluation Service. Amazingly, while on a missions trip in Guatemala we met Harvey's granddaughter Precious! We particpate in ADGA's Linear Appraisal. We also show our goats on a limited basis. It is limited due to career and family obligations. There is simply never enough time!
